MA Art and Ephemeral Architecture UPC Barcelona, 2000. Currently based in Mexico City, where she works on different international site specific and public space intervention projects, photography and video for private and public cultural institutions.

Among her projects are the sustainable art and architecture piece Casa Tlaloc ( 2022) in Oaxaca, México, her catwalk for Mexico City Buildings “Si yo Fuera Edificio” a public art project for the Denver International Airport, her site specific project for 6 public spaces in Mexico City “Tlatelolco Public Space Odyssey” her participation in Moscow Young Art Biennial, a collaboration with Joseph Kosuth for Casa Encendida in Madrid, the Phantom Library, made in El Salvador, which was shown at Maco 2017 earning one of the 10 best stands recognition. A site specific project in the Reykjanes peninsula, Iceland. Art residencies include Scotland, Japan, Iceland and Buenos Aires, where she was part of Plan de evasión, for a project room in ArteBA 2016. Her latest solo, “Billions” was at Maia Contemporary. November 2022 Mexico City.

Currently, Ximena is preparing one of her largest solo shows: “Transverberations” a comission for Ex Teresa Arte Actual coming up this fall, in Mexico City, based on the supernatural experiences and writings of Saint Teresa of Ávila.
